BikeSA’s On Country program brings bike education to the most remote communities in South Australia. Through road safety programs and recreational activities, the program supports young people in disadvantaged and regional areas by providing access to bikes and skills. A pathway to increased active travel, physical activity, and overall wellbeing. By combining bike education with recreation, On Country helps participants build confidence, develop new skills, and foster a sense of connection, while overcoming barriers to recreational and educational opportunities in remote regions.

“With each program Bikes Palya have delivered I have found them to be successful, flexible, innovative and professional.”
– Sam Adams, Youth Development Officer, Ernabella
‘Bikes Palya helps kids in the community by fixing their bikes. It’s a really great program, enabling kids to learn how to fix and maintain their bikes along the way.’
– Darralee Gibson, Whyalla Youth Centre.
‘My child was able to ride and be a part of the program as Bikes Palya provided a modified bike to support him as he had a disability. He was over the moon to be able to be involved’.
– Parent, Whyalla
