The Bikes Palya program serves as a vital avenue for fostering healthy and empowering behaviors among Aboriginal youth residing in remote outback communities, where access to recreational and educational opportunities is limited. In the Pitjantjatjara language, 'Palya' translates to 'Good'—Bikes are good!
However, Bikes Palya currently lacks funding for 2024. Your donation or sponsorship can make a meaningful difference in supporting our cause.
“With each program Bikes Palya have delivered I have found them to be successful, flexible, innovative and professional.”
– Sam Adams, Youth Development Officer, Ernabella
‘Bikes Palya helps kids in the community by fixing their bikes. It’s a really great program, enabling kids to learn how to fix and maintain their bikes along the way.’
– Darralee Gibson, Whyalla Youth Centre.
‘My child was able to ride and be a part of the program as Bikes Palya provided a modified bike to support him as he had a disability. He was over the moon to be able to be involved’.
– Parent, Whyalla
