The start and finish for Annual Tour. Explore the unique features of "The Mount", including the sinkholes, caves, dormant volcanos and the mysterious azure waters of the famous Blue Lake. Eat and drink your way through cafes, pubs, and more.
The first coastal stop where an unending stretch of beach meets the Southern Ocean. One of South Australia’s longest jetties is a prominent landmark at almost 1.5km long.
With its azure beaches, beautiful white sands, lush forest and stunning landscape, Beachport offers the perfect opportunity to relax with a drink as the sun settles on the tip of Rivoli Bay.
Venture north along the coast and take time out for lunch at Robe, one of South Australis's most picturesque small towns, with sheltered beaches, historic buildings and great coffee.
End the day at Kingston S.E., at the heart of peaceful Lacepede Bay and home to “Larry” the Big Lobster, Australia’s favourite giant crustacean and a genuine icon in every sense of the word.
Home to the famous World Heritage-listed Naracoorte Caves, so listed because of the importance of the fossils at the site, preserving Australia’s most complete marsupial fossil record. With a full rest day here, you can visit several caves including the famous Victoria Fossil Cave. Or explore local wineries and all the succulent food the region has to offer.
Enjoy the magnificent scenery and listen for the creatures of the wetlands at Bool Lagoon, a Ramsar Wetland of International Significance. The Lagoon is home to an abundance of wildlife and an essential refuge for birds.
The heart of the Limestone's winemaking region, Penola and Coonawarra are nestled among a sea of vines and spectacular rolling green fields. Penola is a picture-perfect country town with a fascinating history and a smorgasbord of food and wine experience. Try a glass or two of local red and taste a local drop or two and venture on to explore boutique shops, cafes and restaurants. Penola is also famed as the home of Australia’s first saint, Mary McKillop and the special centre created to honour her life.
Feel the fresh air in your face on the road, smell the eucalypt forests, marvel at the spring wildflowers, and get sand in your toes on a sunset walk. Each evening, under a canopy of brilliant stars, enjoy sit-down meals, sit back and relax.
Bicycle SA is renowned for its intimate cycling tours. With a limited number of riders, you can spend each day with a small group of like-minded cyclists and relax each evening in the company of new friends.
The 2023 Annual Tour is a relaxing adventure. A typical day begins with a hearty breakfast, then on your bike until a stop for morning tea, followed by more riding until lunch. We keep riding through to afternoon tea and then on until the campsite is reached. There you can unwind, socialise, enjoy a drink, and watch the sunset over dinner. Then, the stars come out and riders share stories to the early hours or until weary bodies hint it's time for bed.

I loved getting out and about, riding with like-minded people in a well supported environment, seeing parts of SA, and meeting locals in their communities.
– Annual Tour 2022 Participant
The organisation was excellent - loved the low numbers of participants enabling us to get to know more people as it was easier to bump into them more frequently.
– Annual Tour 2022 Participant
We loved the feeling of being on a real adventure yet knowing you had support if needed - and of course the beautiful countryside we rode through!
